Ardglass

Ardglass is a beautiful harbour which has been use as a fishing port for over two thousand years. It is one of the few harbours which remains accessible no matter what state of the tide, and today has two fishing piers (the North Pier and South Pier), a number of fish processing factories and a marina. While the port is not as busy as it was in its heyday, 150 years ago, millions of pounds worth of fish passes through here every year. Popular species are herrings, prawns, and whitefish.
