Troon

The Port of Troon offers one of the most sheltered harbours on the west coast of Scotland, mainly due to its westerly protection by the Isle of Arran. It is a major ferry and fishing port, although was a small fishing port up until the 1800’s, until The Duke of Portland built the harbour and created its railway in 1808.
