Waveney Valley Smokehouse

Waveney Valley Smokehouse is a family run, artisan smokehouse at Britain's most Easterly point just North of Lowestoft in Suffolk.

The smokehouse is over 150 years old and supplies many of the leading fish wholesalers in the Eastern Region which means if you have enjoyed Smoked Salmon, Mackerel, Herring, Trout, Haddock or Cod at the best restaurants and pubs across the area you may well have already sampled our products.

In the last few months we have begun to supply selected Farm shops, Deli's and specialist supermarkets with our vacuum packed products and now we are delighted to offer our range to local customers through Big Barn. It true to say that our products are not all local, they come from the bounteous waters of the North Sea or North Atlantic and specialist fish farms that have demonstrated finest quality source and supply. We only use sustainable stock, we have our own product quality control and tracking system and although we are truly traditional we support that through innovative technology in an effort to provide high quality products, full of taste.

We were certified Kosher early in 2020 and are delighted to now offer a range of fresh fish from local markets, prepared and packed in Lowestoft which is still the heart and sole of the fishing industry in the East.
